Sr. Programmer Analyst will assist in the development of projects assigned primarily related to Warehouse Systems. Be a key part of and help lead the team on major projects from design through implementation. The Sr. Programmer Analyst will work in a team environment with the Project Manager and/or leader to define projects, design technical solutions and assist in the implementation of systems. They will also provide business and technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and manage the execution of projects from design to implementation. This includes the preparation of project plans and project status reports
- Perform as a senior member of the programming staff and provide consultation and support to other programmers and management
- Appropriately document and ensure proper documentation on all system modifications according to Change Management policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively to the supported business areas on projects and support items
- Ability to work well within a team environment and can also work independently when necessary
- Mentor junior programmers on technical and career development
- Constantly look for improvements and efficiencies
- Support the business by being on the team pager rotation for batch job failures or system issues

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 or more years experience in Information System development
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, Management Information System or related field
- High level knowledge of Windows and OS/390 operating system
- Experience in object oriented design and development (Cobol, Java)
- Experience in implementation of 3rd party software packages


PREFERRED:
- Experience in application design and development and in leading a group of IS&T associates
- Experience in object oriented design and development (C++) Course work in the area of providing feedback and coaching is a plus
- Proven ability to interface outside of the department up to Director level to determine business needs
- Ability to communicate technical solutions
