Senior QA Engineer

Venture backed media ASP is looking for an all-star skilled senior quality assurance (QA) engineer; experience in traditional and automated testing of web based applications.

 

Requirements:

 - 5+ years of QA experience with a thorough knowledge of software development life cycle principles and quality assurance methodology.

-Expertise in writing test plans and QA automation.
-Experience in testing multithreaded client-server software and experience in testing web-based applications.
-Experience in full life-cycle of software development.
-Experience with maintaining and developing scripts.
-Clear understanding of performance, stress and load testing.
- Ability to interact with software developers to produce test cases.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skill sets and business knowledge.
- Ensure that quality processes and tools meet the criteria of pre-defined standards at each stage of the software development life cycle.
- Technical experience of a three tier, web-based environment.

- Able to work in a challenging environment with aggressive deadlines


Responsibilities
-Work with team of developers as well as ability to take the lead on projects with QA engineers
-Create automated tests, test plans, testing procedures, and product quality reports.

- Documenting and tracking of all software defects 

 

Bonus: 

- Familiar with Linux, Apache and shell scripting.

-Internet experience with high volume sites.

-Experience with relational databases as well as reporting tools.
