Shared Services Exchange/AD Consultant

 

Job Description:  This position will be based in Washington DC and support the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide MS Exchange/Active Directory shared services which will eventually support upwards of 6000 geographically distributed users.  Client currently has over 50,000 networked workstations supported by nearly 1,200 servers across 16 component groups which will be served by the shared services.  The candidate will help develop a roadmap for expanding client?s ability to deliver email (Exchange) and Active Directory shared services.  Candidate should be able to identify gaps between current and required operational organization, tools and processes; identify opportunities for process automation, proactive monitoring and notification; and identify relevant tools and processes for automating systems management and support are of particular importance in establishing scalable operations.

 Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering experience are required.Be able to interface with and advocate to high level management as well as canvas users and technical personnel.  Have sophisticated knowledge of Exchange/AD shared services architecture, including domain structures and system administration and technical support requirements.  Exchange Design Experience and Messaging Team Supervisory/Management Experience desired.Candidate should be able to provide detailed documentation such as SOPs, project plans, SLAs, SOWs, and be able to develop configuration management and change control processes for the enterprise.
