Sr Network Administrator
Our client is looking for a senior level Network Consultant. This is a contract to hire position.
This position will be responsible for the following duties for our various client locations:
Work at an IT Management level at our client locations supporting primarily Microsoft networks, desktops, and servers. This will include occasional after-hours and weekend work.
Manage system and/or network issues to resolution within the client base.
Manage systems projects, installations and migrations.
Identify ways to improve our clients systems and infrastructure (upgrades to hardware, software, network).

Requirements:
Strong knowledge of Windows Servers 2000/2003, Windows XP Pro/2000 Pro, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange 2000/2003, SQL 2000, IIS, Veritas Backup Exec, DNS, WINS, DHCP, TCP/IP, PPTP, RDP, RRAS, RADIUS, VPN, Cisco IOS, Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition, SNMP and Performance Base lining and Monitoring.
Active Directory Administration.
Windows 2000/2003 Server Administration.
Exchange 2000/2003 Server Administration.
Windows desktop and server operating system configuration and application support.
Ability to present to an internal audience.
Ability to project confidence and defend recommendations.
Ability to function in stressful situations.
Ability to communicate issues positively and professionally.
Ability to keep all systems up to date and troubleshoot/repair systems issues.
Ability to work independently to resolve technical issues.
Ability to support various RAID (software and hardware) and network attached storage devices.
Ability to manage all IT assets and licensing; track inventory and manage equipment leases.
Ability to manage desktop and user support.
Ability to manage system backups; ensure integrity of company data and recovery of systems and data.
Ability to document all systems upgrades, patches, changes and procedures.
Educational/Work Experience Requirements:
Candidates must be detail oriented and self-motivated, with 6 to 8 years of progressive proven hands-on computer networking and systems engineering experience. Proven systems projects, installation and migration experience. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification in Windows 2000 or 2003 is desired.
Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism are imperative due to significant amounts of direct customer interaction.
The max Salary range is $65K per the client.
Previous consulting experience with small and medium-sized businesses is a plus.
