Systems Engineer

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer to support business critical systems, maintain high availability of systems and ensure customer satisfaction.

Position responsibilities include: Maintain systems availability and customer satisfaction, while advancing multiple projects.  Implement leading edge technology in a Wintel-centric high availability environment.  Maintain performance, availability and security of network services, remote access, and Internet access systems.Support and train members of the IT staff.  Provide support to all levels of user community including executives.Support regular upgrades to various CRM, BI and accounting applications as well as underlying IS systemsAdminister IT-related contracts. Liaise with vendors and accounting.

 

Requirements

6+ year?s computer operations support experience working in all aspects of the information systems project lifecycles, from planning and design to implementation and documentation including maintenance and tuning, with special expertise in the following areas:

3-5 years supporting Microsoft-based Information Systems: File Servers, E-mail Messaging, Database, Web Services, including hardware and OS planning and implementation, expansion and upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, monitoring and alerting; MCSE a plus.  WSUS/MBSA/Patch management skills desired along with Trend Micro Antiviral experience. 

2-3 years DRBC experience: Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing and documentation.  CA BrightStor, and EMC NetWorker preferred. 

2+ years Citrix Presentation Server 4/ Windows Terminal Services (2003), HTTP/S, ICA/RDP, Web Interface Portals, Secure Gateways and Remote Messaging Services.  TACACS and RSA SecureID experience a plus,  Also CCA or CCEA or 2+ years supporting EMC NAS/SAN systems: Celerra, Clariion, in iSCSI, GbE environment.Exposure to High-Availability systems: Clustering, host-based replication, mirroring and failover of critical information systems using Windows 2003 advanced server, EMC Replistor and Autostart. Windows 2003 AS Clustering a plus along with experience supporting Cisco based LANs/WANs.  CCNA/CCDA and college degree on Information Systems or Computer Science desired. Technical certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, Citrix preferred.

 

Ability to work problems continuously, through to resolution.  Some night and weekend work required. Must be willing to put in extra time and energy to assure excellent service and enjoy learning new skills and mastering new systems
