JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

The Technician will support desktop thermal engineering team in development of new platform and sustaining products. Development and validation of system and component level cooling solutions for desktop computers using established test plans and procedures. Perform design characterization on all products Analyze characterizations for violations of known specifications, potential violations, and overall signal integrity Propose and implement fixes for any known violations Troubleshoot and repair systems to the component level Key PrP Responsibility System validations/support/test Set up, configure, and test prototype systems and software Perform specified test plans Perform functional tests and analyze newly developed systems to ensure operation and reliability Assemble and disassemble prototype systems as necessaryTrack prototypes throughout the development test cycle Research and learn new technologies and procedures to remain current with industry standards and new productsAssist other technicians in completing assigned tasks Set up and calibrate electronic test equipment and maintain in working condition Ideal Candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills, an ability to multitask, strong attention to detail and be able to work autonomously. Be capable of troubleshooting computer issues down to the motherboard level. Applicant should also be comfortable with variety of test equipment including: thermal test chambers, data aquisition equipment and flow benches. Utilize Excel to capture and report data, loading system software and uulities and familiar with set up and use of desktop computer critcal components.
