Description:
A manufacturer of medical devices needs two technical writers to produce technical documentation for the a Diabetic insulin pump that meets the audience needs and meets legal and regulatory requirements. The audiences for this documentation include, patients, nurses, physicians, as well as the sales and technical support people
Responsibilities include:
o. Research products by reading product specifications, interviewing subject matter experts, investigating prototype hardware and software, and observing clinical uses.
o. Define deliverables for product and outline content according to regulatory and geographical requirements.
Requirements:
o. 5+ years experience documenting in the regulated medical device or pharmaceutical industry. (Required)
o. Previous experience coordinating the localization of documents a plus
o. Experience with the latest electronic publishing tools, especially single sourcing and XML database publishing a major plus
o. Experience developing on-line documentation and Help systems a plus
o. B.A. / B.S. in Technical Communications or a related field (Required)
