Tactical Marketing Manager

 

The Tactical Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the tactical marketing initiatives for a recently VC funded, growing technology start-up located in the Boston area.  This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an energetic, motivated person with the right qualifications to join a young, fun, dynamic company.

 

HiWired (www.hiwired.com) helps consumers and small businesses install, integrate, secure, maintain and upgrade all brands and all types of technology including PCs, peripherals, wireless networks and most hardware and software.  The Tactical Marketing Manager is needed to support marketing activities with large, well-known partners and to build a major nationally recognized brand for consumers and small business owners. 

 

Basic Responsibilities:

o  Tactical Marketing Execution: 

o  Work with agencies of HiWired and its partners to execute major marketing initiatives including collateral development, public relations, advertising and web site enhancement

o  Develop pricing strategy and analysis across HiWired?s channels to market

o  Support new product development efforts internally and in conjunction with partners

o  Marketing Strategy Support: 

o  With the Director of Marketing and President, drive the development and execution of joint marketing plans with HiWired?s strategic distribution partners

o  Support the development of HiWired?s consumer brand and direct sales business

o  Drive market research initiatives to understand customer wants and needs in this emerging marketplace

o  Account Management and Business Development:

o  Support business development efforts with partner accounts

o  Opportunity to manage smaller accounts and own P&L responsibilities

o  General support to the company on various projects

o  Light travel required, 10-20%.

 

Qualifications:

o  Experience in marketing technology products and/or services

o  Experience in consumer marketing (leveraging the digital channel)

o  Understanding of CRM and call center operations/ technologies a plus

o  3+ years post undergraduate (top tier school) required; 0-2 years post-MBA a plus

o  Must reside in the Boston metropolitan area

o  Must have entrepreneurial passion, strong work ethic, solid strategic and analytical capability

 

Salary commensurate with experience.
