Technical Writer/ Instructional Designer

A qualified candidate would possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and would have a strong business process background. They would need to be able to (during interviews with departments) draw out their process procedures, by saying things like "explain to me why your department does this", or "tell me why you do it that way". Their main objectives would be to search for process holes and gaps, and also to eventually create "a desk document" (a procedural manual, if you will) for others to use (something that would explain the exact flow of processes w/in the company). The document would need to be designed so that anyone could pick it up, and know all the different departments that were involved with a certain facet of the business, and in which way the processes were streamlined (ie, which group has X process first, and what they do with it; then, who gets X process second, and what they do with it). The selected candidates would be working with all different departments, in their quest to document the processes; and ultimately, which is why they are looking for someone with a broad business background.
