Technology Lending Center Technician

The Lending Center provides short-term loans of assistive devices to people who have disabilities to enhance daily living.  These loans help them learn about and make choices concerning equipment that can help to transform their lives.  The Technology Lending Center Technician helps keep the inventory of equipment in working order, deals directly with manufacturers, and orders and inventories equipment as needed. 

 

Qualifications:  The successful candidate should have a strong background of Microsoft XP, and other Microsoft programs, hardware and software troubleshooting, and a willingness to learn other computer operations. Experience with Macintosh computers and augmentative communication devices is a plus. A+ certification preferred.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

 

1.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2.  Excellent judgment, problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.

3.  Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities, families, co-workers, staff, supervisors, funding sources, and other social service agency personnel.

4.  The ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

5.  Ability to travel throughout the state.
