Training Lab Manager

Akibia, a provider of custom education courses, is looking for a Training Lab Manager to help set-up and maintain hardware and rooms for training classes.  The right candidate will be very organized, detail oriented and be able to work on their own.  Hardware experience must include: Dell Server and Storage configuration and administration.  Microsoft Server knowledge is required.  A+ certification or MCP would be good but not required. 

 

Responsibilities:

 
Assist with Hardware and Software lab preparations for all classes
Install / Rack Hardware to meet class needs.
Maintain Cabling in Training Racks to facilitate diagnosis/upgrades, etc.
Maintain Inventory
Maintain Master Software Library to support training functions.
Use Altiris, to create/deploy images.
Troubleshoot/Diagnose/Resolve hardware issues utilizing OEM tools
Provide assistance to Trainers as needed.
Maintain Parts and Supplies in orderly fashion.
Notify supervisor of any issues or problems.
Manage version control, duplication and distribution of course material
Assist with equipment purchasing and receiving
Keep classrooms and labs straight and presentable in appearance.
Keep firmware/Bios Levels up to date on all equipment.
