UNIX / VMS / Systems Engineer / System Administrator

Looking for a career in computer systems administration, development, or customer support?

 

Epic, a leader in client-server, thin client, and web applications for the healthcare industry, is looking for people with systems administration expertise or the aptitude and desire to learn it.  UNIX, Linux, or Open VMS knowledge is preferred, and knowledge of Windows, database management systems (Oracle or MS SQL), or scripting in Perl or Korn shell in addition to one of the above is a plus.

 

As part of our Server Systems Team, you?ll design, set up and troubleshoot large UNIX or Open VMS database servers for Epic and our customers on a wide variety of hardware platforms. You?ll be involved in customer support, and in the development of monitoring tools, utility scripts, and benchmarking. You may also train and support our customers? systems staff and assist with technical sales support.

 

Candidates must have a bachelor?s degree, a history of academic and professional success, and a willingness to travel up to 15%.  Relocation to Madison, WI is required.
