Entry Level Associate Tech Support Specialist position is located in ATLANTA, GA, and provides remote technical support assistance to customers and IBM technical personnel on multiple products in the high volume product environments. Responsibilities includes, receiving and recording incident related information, using various tools, techniques and procedures to select appropriate actions to resolve technical service issues. Provide hardware (some software) assistance with professional knowledge in problem determination/source identification to resolve problems involving break-fix, operating systems, application programs and network issues. Strong soft skills are essential for communicating the solution or action plan required to support the customer or IBM Field Service Representatives. Major Field of Study: Computer Science or equivalent. All qualified applicants should have in depth knowledge of Think Products (desktop/laptop) Hardware break-fix, IBM Client & Net Vista Advanced Products Maintenance, Think Vantage Installation & Configuration, Wireless Computing, Basic Personal Computer Knowledge, Remote Support for Field Technicians & Customers, Perform Hardware Assembly Debug, Communication (Written, Verbal, Listening), Ability to work well in a team environment, Analyze Customer Need, and Presentation skills.
