Business Systems Analyst Description: For the business analyst with a solid background in SQL and Cognos, here is a great opportunity to put your brain to work ? not just create reports and push paper. In this role you will consult with internal customers to determine their reporting needs, then use your technical skills create queries to find the needed data, and provide your customers with meaningful analysis. Currently we are transitioning from a labor-intensive manual reporting mode to the enhanced data analysis capability of Cognos; we will look to you for guidance on this transition. This is an excellent position for a candidate interested in stepping up to a more heady and visible role!

? Provide value-add analysis and reporting to organizations within our Global Services organization, from executive dashboards to detailed reports
? Partner with departmental business groups, from management to individual contributor, to determine their needs for reports, metrics and data analysis
? Using Cognos and other report automation tools, gather relevant data, determine key indicators and provide analysis to management in a meaningful and actionable format
? Consult with a wide variety of sources to validate data in reports as needed
? Enhance and maintain Reports/Tools

Requirements:
? Excellent analytical, communication, written and influencing skills required
? Experience with Cognos or other enterprise reporting system
? SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation are required.
? Fluency with MS Access, MS Excel
? Recent programming experience with VBA and PHP as well as Java experience
? BS or BA
