The Customer Care Support Specialist acts as the first point of contact for all user related problems. Support Specialist will assist and provide first tier support for end users in an effort to provide immediate resolution to problems.

 Serve as the primary point of contact for all end-user problems.Provides end user support, focusing on documenting and resolving most software related problems on initial contact, utilizing available tools.Clearly and concisely documents problem descriptions and resolutions.Provides immediate resolution for most software related problems. Serves as technical resource to LAN users. Communicates with end-users to help them understand how to properly use software products. Escalates problems to other support staff members according to problem description and severity. Processes necessary reports to keep upper management informed of service issues. Maintains library of company purchased software. Ensures proper communication to end users of upcoming system changes and deployments.

Qualifications:Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.Experience supporting end-users, preferably in an IT support environment.

Knowledge:Good understanding of networks, operating systems, and security in a client server environment.Have experience supporting remote users and remote offices using various methods of communication to include dial-up, DSL and including satellite connectivity for shipboard support.Strong knowledge of pcs, laptops and other peripherals such as network printers, scanners, blackberry, PDA, etc.

Certifications:Technical certifications such as A+ are desirable.
