84 Lumber Company, a $4 billion dollar company with over 450 stores nationwide, is currently seeking an Entry Level Computer Operator to work nights at our headquarters in Eighty Four, PA (near Washington, PA). In this position you will:

Run assigned jobs according to daily schedule
Monitor nightly store communications
Log corporate helpdesk calls and provide solutions if possible
Limited editing and coding in DCL control language
Print and distribute reports to corporate departments
Monitor all backups and make sure backup tapes are secured

Requirements include:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or combination of experience and education
Knowledge with OpenVMS, SCO Unix

This is a Monday night thru Friday night position typically working 12:00am ? 8:00am. Day shift opportunities may be available within months depending on performance and availability. We offer a great benefit package along with the rapid promotion opportunities!
