Corporate Applications Engineer - HDL

As a Corporate Applications Engineer, you will contribute to the success of our team by increasing customer satisfaction and productivity with Mentor Graphics' HDL Designer Series (HDS) and FPGA Advantage products. You will: ?Support the software, both on-site at customer locations and from your office. ?Assist customers in deploying Mentor Graphics HDS and FPGA Adv. software to solve design challenges. ?Illustrate the support value Mentor Graphics brings to customers by: ?Troubleshooting technical obstacles to the productivity with Mentor Graphics' software; ?Developing and delivering technical training on new features and product updates; ?Tracking and Updating customer issues using defined Mentor Graphics processes and tracking tools. ?Developing Technical content for Mentor's knowledgebase. ?Communicating customers? technical requirements as well as customer issues to the Product Team. This will include an understanding and communication of the urgency and impact of these issues to the product and sales teams. ?Developing a network of technical relationships at a peer-to-peer level with both our customers and the Product engineering teams. ?Up to 25% travel is required for this position. This travel is normally limited to one-to-two day trips. Experience with HDL-based designs. This experience must include: VHDL and Verilog HDL knowledge as well as experience targeting FPGAs. Understanding of FPGA design flow. Communicate effectively in verbal and written form. ? Build strong rapport and credibility with customer organizations while maintaining a company internal, network of contacts. ? Ideal candidates will also have two or more years of FPGA design experience with strong communications and interpersonal skills. Desirable Qualifications: ? Experience with Tcl/TK, Simulation and Synthesis tools and FPGA vendor implementation tools a plus. A knowledge of SystemVerilog and/or SystemC is advantageous, but not required. Minimum Qualifications: BSEE required. MSEE, and/or teaching is also a plus.
