Customer Support Engineer

CITY: Boca Raton STATE: Florida COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
This position located in Boca Raton, FL, will provide professional technical support to channel partners and end users covering GE Security products, operating system software and the interfacing of those products into an integrated system.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Qualifications:
* A strong understanding of network topology and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose networks.
* A strong understanding of database architecture, Informix and SQL is preferred, and a comprehensive understanding of networking protocol, including TCP/IP and Token Ring structures.
* Experienced working in a customer service environment addressing critical customer situations in a professional confident manner a must.
* The position can require worldwide travel on short notice.
* Previous call center experience and language skills are a plus.

Requirements:
* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (3 or more years in similiar role)
* Requires superior knowledge and experience in Windows operating systems.
* Requires 2+ years exp working with network diagnosis and troubleshooting
* Requires strong analytical skills and ability to think outside the box to solve issues
* Understanding of basic AC and DC circuitry required.

* Experience with security/access integration.

* Understanding of SQL and/or Informix database architecture.
