SUMMARY:  The Information Technology Services department is looking for dynamic, creative, customer-oriented database programmer analysts to help us better integrate technology into the University?s business processes. We?re looking for people who can work with technical and non-technical staff in areas such as student administration, finance, human resources and academic departments to translate their needs into working application solutions. The candidates must have the technical background to design, develop, and program web based solutions in a distributed database environment.  We offer an exciting work environment and tough challenges in addition to competitive salaries and generous benefits.

 

DUTIES: Design, document and develop new PC, Web and UNIX based database applications. Maintain and enhance existing database applications created using PowerBuilder, Java, ColdFusion, Cobol, Sas and Oracle. Perform basic Oracle database administration and web server support for ColdFusion, Apache and Tomcat.  Must be an engaging team member and work well with other ITS support staff.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or at least 2 years experience in Relational Database application development using an Object Oriented language and Web application development. Thoroughly understand the Servlet, HTML, Coldfusion web server environment and how they work together in developing systems.  Desired Experience includes: Java, PowerBuilder, Visual Basic, C#, ColdFusion, Oracle, Sas, Cobol, SQL/Server, Sharepoint, XML, Scripting, ASP, Servlet Development and Web Services design.  Good skills in using Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access.
