Development/Support Engineer

Adecco Technical is currently recruiting for a Development/Support Engineer for our premier client located in Portland Metro area.
*This is a 12 month contract position.
As a Development Support Engineer you'll provide IT support for Clinical Data Services, configuring and maintaining hardware and software for customers as well as the clients data center.
*You?ll work with other team members to perform database extractions, run reports, test new software, and deploy and maintain the clients hardware and software infrastructure.
*You?ll also engage directly with customers to diagnose and resolve issue.
Your technical experience and creativity will help drive the integration and evolution of the clients office applications and support the vision of the all-digital enterprise.
Other:
This is a contract position requires the work to be performed in a normal 40 hour workweek Mon - Fri during standard business hours unless otherwise stated. You must be a very strong technical match to be considered.

Your job responsibilities will include:
*Working in cross-functional project teams that include Marketing, Development, Quality Assurance, Customer Learning, and Support
*Configuration and maintenance of Clinical Data Servers deployed into customer sites
*Configuration and maintenance of data center hardware used for Clinical Data Web Services
*Test new software releases prior to customer rollout
*Communicate directly with customers to diagnose and resolve issues
*Coordinate and perform system upgrades
*Work with other team members to continually improve our delivery and update process
*Participating in program and project team meetings
Qualifications/Requirements:
-BS in EE or CS or equivalent
-5+ years of IT experience ? preferably in a product development capacity
-Experience in configuring Windows 2000/2003/XP workstations and servers in a network environment
-Experience with database management (Oracle and SQL Server)
-Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
-Organized and detail oriented
-A focus on delivering quality products
-Strong customer service ethic
-Effective analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks
