EO Lead Systems Engineer

Job Description: This position is a Lead Sensor Systems Engineer on the Future Combat Systems (FCS) Ground Sensor Integrator (GSI) program Ground Sensor IPT. The Lead is responsible for developing requirements, conducting technical source selection, managing sensor technical development, and integration/test/verification of the EO sensors that are integrated on FCS manned and unmanned ground platforms. The Lead will collaborate with the Ground Sensor Integrator's customer, Boeing, GSI design support IPTs, and Army stakeholders to develop requirements for sensor systems utilizing electro-optics technologies. The Lead, upon contract awards, will monitor/evaluate multiple Ground Sensor Developer system approaches and architectures to assess feasibility/risk of achieving requirements throughout the sensor SDD process.

Required Skills:
Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills, sound reasoning and judgment, timely fact-based decision-making ability; excellent people skills; effective management of customer and company technical relationships; ability to build and lead a multi-disciplined team of talented, senior professionals. Ten years experience in technical execution of internal or major subcontracts for U.S Government engineering development activity. Experience in implementing Raytheon 6 Sigma, CAIV, Risk Management and IPDS concepts. Good working understanding of Raytheon configuration control and established systems engineering processes.

Clearance: Existing Secret

Desired Skills:
Fifteen years experience in systems engineering of sensor technology. Proven, demonstrable knowledge of systems and software engineering processes and tools.

Required Education (including Major): BS Engineering, MS perfered
