Embedded Software Engineering Manager

Responsible for the planning, design, engineering, and development of firmware and software for complex embedded computer systems. Develops software requirements and specifications. Through direct engineering staff or outside consultants, plans and coordinates the development, integration, and release of software and firmware. Performs functional tests to establish working parameters for hardware and software compatibility. Supports hardware bring up. Requires working knowledge of firmware-based boot programs, specifically BIOS. Must have a good working knowledge of computer architecture as well as structured programming. Must have experience writing low level device drivers in either Unix or Linux. Must be proficient in C/C++. Requires BSCS/BSEE (MS preferred) degree and at least ten years related experience, including 3 years of direct supervision. Diagnostic firmware for manufacturing dvt and ACPI experience are desireable.
