Enterprise / Solutions Architect

Sensitech is the first in the industry to offer complete cold chain solutions for monitoring temperature-sensitive products. These solutions enable our customers ? leaders in the food, food service and life science industries worldwide ? to monitor shipment quality from beginning to end of the cold chain.  The Enterprise / Solutions Architect is based at Sensitech's Divisional Headquarters, in Beverly, MA.

The Solutions / Enterprise Architect is responsible for collecting the requirements and defining the architecture of Sensitech?s primary and future software offerings in conjunction with cross-functional personnel.  Will work closely with those employees mentioned above (cross functionally) along with customers to define the business level solution requirements and technical specification documentation. 

This includes, but is not limited to:

Detailed technical specifications

Data flow diagrams

Use case diagrams

Written use cases

Unit testing plans

May create proposals and scope of work documentation for Sensitech?s Cold Chain Visability Business

Unit.  This work would include time and cost estimates along with other tasks as assigned.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Required: Must have experience defining and implementing SOA ? Service Oriented Architectures.  5+ Years experience using UML to define enterprise level systems.  Must have 3+ years experience with the Rational Unified Process.  Experience using 3rd party UML tools (Enterprise Architect/Rational).

Strong team player with good communication skills.

Aggressive work ethic / Ability to overcome obstacles.

Bachelor degree in a technical discipline.

Preferable: Experience with Microsoft .Net technologies.

Certifications (OMG / IBM UML Certification).

Experience in object oriented development.
