Field Service Technician/ Engineer

Summary:  Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, servicing and repair of equipment and systems.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment.Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative an technical matters for assigned projects.Interprets customer?s needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers.Serve as the engineer responsible for ensuring "best practices" are used when implementing our products

 Must have strong technical and communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to work with customers under a variety of circumstances and understand and meet customer expectations is a requirement. The individual must be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills. Field service experience in customer facing roles is ideal. Must have experience working with Linux OS

Education/Experience:

Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; plus 2-4 years? hands-on experience in the IT industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
