Customer Engineer: Computer/POS/ATM Field Technician

Ready for a challenge?  NCR Corporation, a Fortune 500 company is looking for organized, motivated team players to fill Customer Engineer (ATM/POS Field Technician) positions in the fast paced Allentown, PA area. Position Description

NCR Field Service Technician (Customer Engineer level 1) associate is the owner of customer incidents as assigned. In this role you will make minor repairs and replace components on basic level equipment such as PCs, workstations and peripherals, printers, front-end POS systems, basic maintenance on ATMs and kiosks, and single pocket proof encoders. You will also assist in site preparation--including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment. You may also perform required modular swaps and unit replacements or perform preventative maintenance services. You will be responsible for responding to all customer concerns or problems by resolving them or by escalating them to the proper associate, team member, territory manager, or the Control Tower.

 

Responsibilities:

-  Provide installation, maintenance and repairs on POS (Point of Sale) / ATM and other electromechanical equipment at various locations within an assigned territory/region

-  Provide continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction

 

Education/Background:

-  Two-year degree in electronics or computer technology preferred

-  Two to four years hands-on POS (Point of Sale) / ATM and/or mechanical and/or PC repair experience in a customer field environment preferred (e.g. printer repair or hardware/network installations)

 Please note you MUST meet ALL of the following basic qualifications to be considered for this role?

 

Basic Qualifications: 

-  Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts and on-call

-  Must have a valid drivers license

-  Must pass comprehensive background check including credit check, driving record, and drug screen.

-  Must have a high school diploma or GED

 

This position pays ?

An hourly base rate (based upon relevant experience, typically in the low-teens per hour)

+ on-call pay (during rotation)
