Firmware Engineers
Firmware Engineers Description: Our client in Golden is looking for experienced Firmware Engineers for a 6-9 month contract position.
The primary position objectives are to define, document, develop and maintain firmware for new and existing products.
In addition, the Firmware Engineers will be expected to:
Interpret requirements and segment development efforts as needed to enable reliable estimation, coordination, development, testing and delivery.
Define, implement and document firmware for new products.
Modify firmware for existing products in response to issues or sales opportunities.
Develop test methods to verify code quality.
Investigate problems, recommend solutions and implement corrective action if needed.
Write technical documentation and give oral presentations regarding firmware performance, operation or troubleshooting.
Keep abreast of developments in the field of firmware languages, techniques and methods.
Work with team members as needed to meet project objectives.

Requirements:
BSEE, BSCS or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 year's experience with development of embedded firmware for micro controller based systems.
Expert proficiency with 'C' and real-time device control.
Proven success with firmware development projects.
Hardware experience (design of firmware interfaces for integrated circuits).
Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and other test equipment.
Experience with all phases of the development life cycle.
Experience with RTOS desirable.
Assembly language experience desirable.
Experience with USB, 802.22, Bluetooth and Ethernet is very desirable.
In addition, the successful candidates MUST be able to:
Accurately estimate project timelines.
Work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
Plan and achieve goals and objectives.
Analyze and solve problems.
