Field Technician, Google Audio - Dallas

This position is based in Dallas, TX.

A Field Technician is responsible for completing a customer's installation of a Google Audio/Scott Studio automation system and training the staff on the use of the system. The Field Technician position requires 90% of work time traveling to customer sites, and the remainder of the time working with customer calls from the Field Technician's home base. Travel is required with little or no advance notice.

Responsibilities:Travel to customer sites and assist in completion of system installation.
Train customer on proper use of system, and adapt to their unique situation.
Coordinates issues with customer prior to arrival on site.
Responsible for instructing customers on the proper use of equipment, software and manuals.
Recommends or performs actions to correct problems.
Provides updates, status and completion information to manager via e-mail, voice mail or in person communication.
Requirements:BA or BS (4 year degree) required from an accredited college or university.
Working knowledge of engineering and electrical components.
Strong working knowledge of computer hardware and networking.
Ability to troubleshoot and decipher customer issues.
Ability to multi-task, working on several projects at one time.
Hands-on technical skills with the inquisitiveness to learn the products, work with them, and determine ways to improve them.
Microsoft -XP, 2000, NT, 98 and 95 experience preferred Novell and Microsoft 2003 a plus.
Three to five years of radio engineering, IT or like experience preferred.
