Candidate will assist our shared hosting customers with troubleshooting, technical support and billing issues via email and/or phone support, regarding shared hosting issues and general information. Must be comfortable on the phone and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Great problem solving skills: ability to analyze a customer's problem and take ownership of the resolution process

Excellent communication skills: comfortable interacting with customers and associates

Good Judgment: knows when to stick with a problem and when to seek assistance

Solid networking foundation: fundamental understanding of servers, switches, routers, firewalls, network security

Strong verbal and written communication skills a must; strong knowledge of email applications, HTML, web browsers, FTP, POP3, DNS, and other web hosting related protocols; fundamental understanding of a UNIX-based operating system, Unix command line, PHP, Perl, MySQL; some application server knowledge; has exposure to application and mail servers (Apache Tomcat, SendMail); some relational database knowledge; has exposure to MySQL, MS Access, PostgreSQL or other databases; good understanding of Internet protocols -- understands common protocols such as HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, DNS

Flexible work hours: Must be available to work nights and or weekend shifts.Job Experience
4-year degree required 3-4 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
