Help Desk Technician - Temporary Assigment - Bronx

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Help Desk Technicians for a temporary assignment at one of our client sites.

This position functions as an integral member of our support team responsible providing first level support for all incoming help desk calls via phone and email to all students, faculty, staff and administrators.

? Handles all incoming calls to the help desk via phone, email
? Monitor and follow up calls in help desk queue
? Monitor and follow up calls in email queue
? Provide resolution and assistance to Windows 9x, NT, and XP related problems.
? Provide resolution and assistance to standard supported applications: Lotus Notes, MS Office, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Antivirus and other supported proprietary applications and systems.
? Log all calls into Magic Call Tracking System.
? Document and assign call tickets to related IT groups for further support

Qualified candidates should possess the following skills:
? A+ certification
? 1-2 years experience in hardware and software support.
? Industry recognized Help Desk Certification and/or help desk environment experience A PLUS.
? Excellent customer service skills.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
? Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems: Windows 9x, NT, ME, XP, 2000.
? Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
? Knowledgeable on software installations.
? Knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office.

Specific details about this TEMPORARY assignment include:
* Project is approximately six weeks long in duration (beginning August 14th and concluding approximately September 30th)
*You will be working at either Bronx or NYC location
