IT Support Engineer

 

PCS, Inc. (Peripheral Computer Support, Inc),  screens and repairs HDDs, CDROMs, LCD Panels, PCBs, medical monitors and power supplies. We are interested in hiring an IT Support Engineer for our Fremont California location.

 

As a member of the Operations Team,  this person is responsible for supporting the company with systems administration, desktop support, hardware and software setup and training. The ideal candidate for this position should have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. The candidate will also need to manage multiple requests and handle them in a timely manner. Candidates must also have strong troubleshooting, written and verbal communication skills and able to work independently with little or no supervision.

 

Qualifications: BS/BA degree in Information System or related field required. 2-3 Years experience. Understanding of Microsoft IIS and MS SQL support and administration; Windows clients in a domain environment; Linux/Unix OS; TCP/IP knowledge Demonstrated ability to perform role of technical expert in infrastructure services areas, providing leadership and advice. Understanding of software and operating system installation and support. Understanding of in Microsoft Active Directory functions such as user accounts, group accounts and policies. Comfortable or exposure with desktops, servers, routers, switches, firewalls and other network hardware and software components. Understanding of backup systems and archiving procedures administration and support. Ability to lift 50 pounds and to respond to emergencies after hours is a requirement for this position
