Information Technology Instructor

 

Would you enjoy sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for Information Technology with our dedicated students?  CHI Institute - Southampton has an opportunity for you as a full-time Information Technology Instructor.  You will prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions in information technology and to give them opportunities for career advancement.  You will teach courses in A+, Networking Infrastructure, and Desktop Applications among others during the day.  Potential for part-time evening classes as well.

 

The modern, Southampton campus is situated on 5 1/2-acre in Bucks County with easy access from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276), I-95, Street Road (Route 132), Second Street Pike (Route 232), and Roosevelt Boulevard (Route 1).

 

What you will do:

 Present enthusiastic, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus.Continually promote the development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving and decision-making.Provide the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects.

Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course objectives on the first day of class.

 

You need to be proficient with the following technologies:

 

Cisco (CCNA Preferred) networks

Exchange 2000 or 2003

MCSE Windows 2000 or 2003

Computer Hardware

Windows NT, XP, 98 and 2000

Office Suite

Linux

Network Infrastructure

Skills and experience you need:

 

Bachelor?s degree in a Computer Science field a BIG PLUS but NOT required

Prior career-school experience and two or more years of teaching experience a BIG PLUS

Ability to be highly organized, & detail oriented

Excellent persuasive communication skills and Mastery of the English language

Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, parents, staff and faculty

Consistently display the highest levels of integrity

Exceptional social and customer focused skills
