Job Description

 

Technical Management of complex embedded products for the Voice Communications division in Polycom. The organization is a fast growing, dynamic environment with multiple development sites in various regions of the US and other countries. Project deliverables need to be managed with these locations.

 

Responsibilities will include:Managing HW engineers to their deliverablesGenerate HW specificationsPropose HW technologies for current and future usePrepare project estimates and schedulesParticipate in design reviewsProvide functional and design guidance to the team

Job Requirements

 BSEE or equivalent, MSEE preferred, with 7 to 10 years of job-related industry experience specific to the position above.Proven experience with multi-layer PCB layout, floorplanning, clock distribution and timing verification.Preferred experience with eCAD packages such as PADS and OrCAD (Protel and/or Allegro experience considered).Proven test and/or verification experience on board-level designs.Device driver experience in assembler and/or C/C++ of benefit.Exposure to Voice over IP telephony-based product design preferred.Experience in designing for world-wide compliance including EMI/EMC and Safety requirements.Proven verification skill set and methodical approach to problem-solving required.Focused, self-initiated and self-driven individual with an excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
