Manager, Systems and Network Administration

PA SportsTicker is the U.S. based-division of PA Sport, the world's leading sports news and information provider and part of the PA Group. We deliver high-quality global sports information to a wide range of customers in North America and overseas, including newspapers, TV and radio stations, websites and mobile operators.  We are looking for a talented and motivated individual for our IT Department.

 

Responsibilities:

 Manage day-to-day IT operations and ensure critical systems availabilityManage Windows and Unix based servers PC administration, software/patch management, backups, etc.Software tools for remote Server and PC managementLAN/WAN network administration and managementConfiguration and operation of all network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, etc.System Virus protection and Network SecurityDevelop and review technical service level standards for equipment; monitoring and reporting activity levels on systemsIdentify and resolve system and network outagesImplement and maintain best operational practices

 





Requirements:

 Minimum of 5 years experience in IT Operations and NetworkingExperience with Windows server 2003, Exchange 2003 and Active DirectoryWindows XP, MS Office 2003, Anti-Virus software Citrix Thin Client Experience with UNIX and Linux serversExperience with Backup Software, Server monitoring/performance toolsExperience with Cisco Networking equipmentUnderstanding of LAN/WAN network and voice communicationsKnowledge of TCP/IP, DNS/WINS/DHCP, FTPVPN and Firewall experiencePrior experience leading projects and other team membersExcellent communication skills both written and verbalMust be flexible and have the ability to work independentlyEntrepreneurial spirit to drive projects and tasks to completion
