MID-LEVEL IT HELP DESK

 

We are Manhattan?s Physician Group, a dynamic, rapidly growing association of physicians having eight multi-specialty private physician practice sites in Manhattan.  We require a Mid-Level IT Help Desk person for our Manhattan Offices.

 

Duties will include:

Install, diagnose problems with, repair, maintain, and upgrade all PC hardware, software and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Work with multiple parties to develop and implement an infrastructure to support multiple offices with over 150 users and growing. Troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where needed. Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.Work & communicate effectively with third party IT companies to keep the infrastructure, inventory, WAN, LAN and all aspects running.Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal. Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for end users as well as a primary set up documents for all internal operations specific to MPG (including but not limited to: The time clock system, support, email services, desktop setup, imaging procedures, etc).

 

Position Requirements:College degree in computer science OR Certifications: A+, MCP (XP Workstation).  Network+ certification a plus.Technical Knowledge of PC and desktop hardware.  Specific knowledge  of  hardware Dell & HP Printers, Lenovo (IBM) Desktops & Laptops, Cell phones, PDAs Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience Strong working knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003Working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003, Active Directory and Group Policy.  Knowledge of Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Exchange 5.5-2003  Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.Effective interpersonal, relationship-building, written and oral communication skills.
