Requires Cisco router/switch certification, VLAN and Microsoft server certification.

This position may have incumbents performing duties at levels E3, E4, and E5. Duties at each level vary in complexity, technicality, and level of responsibility, supervision, and skill/knowledge requirements. As a minimum, the incumbents performing duties at any level must demonstrate experience in IS management or computer information systems administration; strong technical knowledge; Cisco switch/router certification, Microsoft server certification, or equivalent certification; and the ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and myriad objectives. In addition, incumbents performing duties at the following levels must possess the following respective qualifications:
LEVEL E3
Incumbent must possess a Bachelors Degree + 2 years relevant work experience OR MS Degree OR 10 years equivalent specialized training and work experience.
LEVEL E4
Incumbent must possess a Bachelors Degree + 4 years equivalent specialized training and work experience OR MS Degree + 2 years equivalent specialized training and work experience OR Ph.D. OR 12 years equivalent specialized training and work experience.
LEVEL E5
Incumbent must posses a Bachelors Degree + 6 years equivalent specialized training and work experience OR MS Degree + 4 years equivalent specialized training and work experience OR Ph.D. + 2 years relevant work experience OR 14 years equivalent specialized training and work experience.

Job Description :
Our Network Administrator will:
Installs, maintains and monitors the operation of the local area network switched and routed environment within local and Federal regulations and designed operational configuration parameters. Ensures connectivity to all users and observes and controls the status and performance of all network components. The incumbent will administer, recommend, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the LAN/WAN operations. In addition, the incumbent may evaluate vendor products in hardware and telecommunications equipment and make recommendations for purchases consistent with short and long term objectives.
