Sutherlands internal Global Services help desk is currently recruiting for a Network Operations Center Analyst for our Rochester, New York location!

 

 

Network Operations Center Analyst

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst is responsible for monitoring network equipment enterpise wide, connectivity between Sutherland Global Services sites, and connectivity to client sites. They will be responsible for Level 1 troubleshooting and escalation to a Network Engineer when necessary. They will also perform routine maintenance at the direction of the Network Engineer during predefined maintenance windows. The NOC Analyst is responsible for answering/placing technical support calls from/for SGS employees and clients on an 'as needed' basis to assist the Global Services Helpdesk. The NOC Analyst is also responsible for accurate and efficient problem diagnosis and dispatching to other service providers as needed. The technician must remain informed and trained in current technology and have excellent customer service skills.

 

Experience Requirements:2 yrs Computer Science Degree or equivalent.Knowledge and/or experience in monitoring core networks, performing device monitoring and troubleshooting for managed services such as routers, switches, internet and WAN bandwidth, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points.2-4 yrs NOC experience with direct customer interaction or equivalent.Technical Skills will be based on experience and will be measured by performance on the Technical Skills Assessment if necessary. CCNA or equvalent experience.
