Network/Systems Administrator

Position Description: Position Summary: * This company is a global provider of customer interaction management solutions that enable businesses to deliver a truly exceptional customer experience. They offer solutions in email, phone, chat, VOIP, and web self service. Seeking a top notch network engineer to support the world-wide headquarters located in Bellevue, WA. The position is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all global LAN/WAN infrastructures.

Education:

* BS degree or 6 years experience working in a multi-platform network environment. Proven problem solving skills with an inherent decision-making ability required.

Major Job Functions:

* Develop and maintain global LAN/WAn infrastructure to meet current and future business needs.
* Design redundant systems within network to reroute communications when systems fail.
* Design and implement industry standard security practices (based on ISO 27001) within LAN/WAN.
* Forecast future growth and system needs via reporting tools. Make recommendations based on findings.
* Ability to act as internal and external consultant to project managers and their customers providing analytical guidance and definition on complex issues.
* Develop and maintain support documentation.
* Interface frequently with IT India on all existing and forthcoming projects.
* Develop troubleshooting skills to limit network downtime. Keep informed of technological advances that could impact company.
* Perform pro-active maintenance on all business systems.
* Help define strategies, standards, and procedures.
* Mail and gateway troubleshooting.
* PBX, voice mail and fax server maintenance and troubleshooting.
* All aspects of troubleshooting network resources from shares, serves, permissions, name resolution, internet access, security and firewall issues etc.
* All server hardware troubleshooting.
* Enterprise backups and troubleshooting.
* OS security/updates on servers under our control.



Position Requirements:

* Bachelors degree or equivalent on the job experience preferred.
* 5-7 years experience in IT infrastructure on large LAN/WAN networks.
* Proven problem-solving skills with an inherent decision-making ability required.
* Advanced understanding of networks, network operations, and configuration.
* Advanced understanding of network protocols.
* Must have CISCO and Windows exchange. (IPCC, PIX, Switches, Routers)
* General experience in systems overall maintenance
* Ability to utilize professional concepts and company policies and procedures to provide network solutions.
* Strong technical writing skills
* Excellent communications skills
* Work effectively in teams
* Customer focused; responsive to business needs
* Strong commitment to task
* Understand customer requirements and effectively articulate such to ensure successful project completion
* Open to learning
