Pricing Staff Analyst - Strategy & Modeling (SV-3350)

Understand and interpret the statistical pricing model used for short and long term pricing decisions of all hard drive products.  This will require understanding all inputs to the pricing decision currently in place and utilizing effective change management strategies to make recommended changes and streamline input processes. Participate on software optimization tool enhancements. Utilize market intelligence, product specifications, competitive G2, supply/demand information and win/loss data to build the tool's pricing models.

Assess and model the macroeconomic and competitive landscapes to provide input to Sr. Management on price planning and price strategies. Provide statistical models to support product life cycle pricing: entry/ramp, vol production, end of life.  Integrate statistical intelligence to overall rev planning process.

Work with pricing team, sales, and marketing to understand value based pricing particularly in the OEM segments.

 

Experience Required:
This position requires 6-10 years experience in the areas of business decisions, financial planning, pricing, and/or economic modeling. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to synthesize data and have the strong written and verbal communication skills required to make pricing recommendations to multiple levels within the organization (from pricing analysts to Vice Presidents). Must also be able to show a demonstrated high level of teamwork.

 

Education:
Requires an advanced degree in the area of Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics or related field or equivalent experience. Six Sigma training preferred. Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, economics.  MBA & CPA a plus.
