Product Release Engineering Manager

Duties of Position: Manage a multidisciplined team responsible for the successful release of development programs and sustaining product releases into world wide Sanmina-SCI manufacturing facilities. Manage and organize the planning and build of early prototype of circuit boards, cables, chassis, bezels, heatsinks, etc. by working closely with the product development teams. Responsible for driving preparations for high volume manufacturing through early engagement in mfg. process development, mfg. circuit board test development, and colaboration with the Sanmina-SCI system manufacturing engineering team to release new and sustaining product releases in to Sanmina-SCI's world wide system build factories. Responsible for the Newisys ECO release process including product structuring per customer and factory requirements, management of ECO releases including assessment of inventory impacts, and managing Agile administration for Newisys. This team also is responsible for Newisys development procurement. Oversees and administers departmental budgeting,leadership of the team to improve processes/proceedures, and improve integration/synergy with the Sanmina-SCI manufacturing teams and manufacturing engineering teams.

 

Qualifications:

The manager of this department must have a BSEE or BSCE degree or related field, and at least 15 years manufacturing industry experience in the manufacturing of complex circuit board assemblies, computer systems, mfg. process development and qualification. Viable candidates must possess strong interpersonal, leadership, and teamwork skills to effectively lead this multidisiplined team, and lead cross disciplined initiatives across the Newisys development organization and the Sanmina-SCI manufacturing and manufacturing engineering organizations. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of accomplishment, strong organization skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency in driving for results.
