Regional IT Manager

MetroPCS in the South Florida Region is currently?seeking?qualified candidate for?our Regional IT Manager position.

This position will manager the administration, monitoring, upgrades, troubleshooting and maintenance for Regional Network Systems; to include servers, workstations, peripherals, telephones, software and other network devices along with their respective connections. ?This position will also manage the future development of regional IT resources and maintain the network in accordance with Company guidelines.

Additionally, this position will assist in the research, deployment and maintenance of Data and Voice lines and their connectivity to both the local and corporate infrastructure.? This will include cooperation with the Corporate IT unit and correspondence with telecom and hardware vendors.?

?This position will manage the operational support activities for the Regional Local Area Network environment, as well as connectivity with the company Wide Area Network to allow the region to provide a dependable and stable platform for our user?s computing needs.

?????? This includes:

????????? Supporting router and switch configuration and maintenance

????????? Performing ethernetcoaxial and fiber cabling, backbone planning and cabling, demarcation extension and structured wiring

????????? Working with the Corporate IT department in providing oversight, management and administration of all switching outing gear in the market.?

????????? Supporting Voice over IP infrastructure and performance.

?This position will manage the day-to-day administration of the regional network servers with respect to the local domain and active directory structure, messaging and communications applications, point of sale systems, as well as other network based programs.? This responsibility also encompasses the maintenance of company data with regard to access, backup and redundancy, account creation and configuration, computer and thin client implementation, software installation, system repair or service and training on the use and care of the computing environment.? This activity will ensure that all regional employees have the access capabilities, performance and availability to systems necessary to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.

?This position provides planning, implementation, administration and support for all Regional retail stores including:? VoIP phone systems, routers, switches, Citrix thin computing, printers, all POS equipment, user creation and maintenance, and circuit management.? These activities are critical to maintaining a stable, profit making retail infrastructure.

This position is responsible for maintaining the Region?s hardware and software inventory to ensure the proper tracking, reporting and compliance of all company servers, desktop and laptop PC?s and their associated peripherals. This is critical to ensuring we stay up-to-date with our overall technology environment and that we do not subject the Company to exposure and/or financial penalties for the improper/unlicensed use of our software.

Education & Experience Required:Bachelors Degree with Information Technology related focus or comparable Certifications/ExperienceMinimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Information Technology & Management role Specific experience with Network and Desktop Operating Systems, Network, Server and Workstation HardwareDemonstrated ability to succeed in demand-driven, unstructured environments
