The Mission Ownership and Analysis Directorate (MOAD) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user. Additionally, MOAD is responsible for providing both local and field level support for globally fielded system. MOAD centers are located in Andover, Tewksbury, Sudbury & Woburn, MA: Portsmouth, RI, Huntsville, AL., & San Diego, CA.


Reliability & Maintainability Test and Operational Analysis Engineer I

The Reliability and Maintainability Test and Operational Analysis (R&M-TOA) Engineer monitor day to day operation of product performance/failures, identifies failure trends, evaluates failure analysis results and notes significant issues or events in product databases. Perform field reliability impact assessment and disposition failed hardware for return to vendor for failure analysis. Provide recommendations to customers to improve overall system reliability. Prepares and presents results of reliability assessments and mission impact analysis to domestic and international customers. Directs failure investigations to determine root cause and corrective action of failures. Interfaces with both internal and external customers as well as attend and brief working groups, Program Reviews, and Technical Interface Meetings.


Basic Qualifications

- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering curriculum


- GPA of 3.0 or higher

- Strong analytical skills


- Customer focus and collaboration skills

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

- Competency in MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint

- Experience with various engineering software applications.

- Prepare presentations and brief personnel.

- Possess previous internship or co-op with a defense contractor and/or government agency.

- Communicate effectively; both oral and written.

- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis techniques

- Familiarity with associated Military and Commercial R&M Standards and Practices.

- Perform root cause analysis and identify corrective actions.

- Identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.

- Prior military service operating and/or maintaining various defense systems.
