The Mission Ownership and Analysis Directorate (MOAD) is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user. Additionally, MOAD is responsible for providing both local and field level support for globally fielded system. MOAD centers are located in Andover, Tewksbury, Sudbury & Woburn, MA: Portsmouth, RI, Huntsville, AL., & San Diego, CA.


Reliability & Maintainability Engineer I

The Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineer provides front end reliability and maintainability analyses for all new designs and development products. The R&M ensures performance compliance of our Customer and internal requirements. R&M engineers provide reliability and maintainability predictions, electrical stress and derating compliance analyses, modeling, and Failure Modes Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA). R&M engineers interface with both internal and external customers as well as attend and brief working groups, Program Design Reviews, and Technical Interface Meetings.


Basic Qualifications

- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering curriculum


- GPA of 3.0 or higher


Desired Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills


- Customer focus and collaboration skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools



- Possess previous internship or co-op with a defense contractor and/or government agency.

- Strong mathematical and/or electronic background (both analog and digital).

- Familiarity with associated Military and Commercial R&M Standards and Practices.

- Review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance with existing standards.

- Identify concerns, suggest solutions, and follow through to closure.

- Prior military service operating and/or maintaining various defense systems.

- Perform failure analysis

- Knowledge of network infrastructure components and interfaces (routers, servers, protocols, etc.)

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings

- Experience with various engineering software applications.
