SYS ENG IV-TECHNICAL SUPPT

PDS Technical Services is seeking a tier 2 engineer to assume an expert role during server outages including issues with hardware, operating systems, application and network problems. Acts as the local owner of the problem through resolution and is responsible for assisting in analyzing and taking actions to resolve the problem and is capable of acting on own authority.- Must possess strong experiential knowledge of the following: TCP/IP, X25, LAN/WAN, Intel server hardware, Active Directory, Domain administration, DNS/WINS administration, Data Communications Concepts- Proactively monitor, analyze and review multi-platform-computing environment and execute problem avoidance practices in order to maintain a high level of reliability and availability.- Be prepared to provide 24 hour, 7 day/week support to maintain the highest availability possible of the identified Network Devices. Work 2nd or 3rd shifts, as needed, in support of the Network Operation Center.- 3-5 years Windows 2000-2003 server implementation, domain management, and Active Directory experience- MSCE and/or Strong Windows 2000-2003 Server Infrastructure experience
