?Administer an Exchange server in a Windows 2003 Server environment.
?Administer a variety of application servers.
?Administer CAD applications, such as SolidWorks.
?Administer backup operations and failover servers.
?Develop security plans and administer secret-level systems.
?Review, analyze and implement new technologies.
?Assist as necessary with problem resolution, equipment setup and configuration.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
?Minimum BS degree with 5 years experience or MS degree with 3 years experience.
?Previous experience with server system administration.
?Demonstrated knowledge of Windows Servers with a desire and ability to learn new technologies.
?Must have the ability to work extended hours for off-hours maintenance on occasion.
?A self-starter motivated towards delivering a high degree of general user satisfaction.
?Must be able to attain a security clearance.
?Ability to work extended hours to resolve an event or to perform off-hours system maintenance.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
?Ability to write computer programs and scripts.
?Active security clearance is a plus.

OTHER PARTICULARS:
This position will be located at the Photonics Division facility in Sorrento Mesa working with a growing user community of engineers and scientists to support their effective use of modern computing capabilities. This encompasses both centralized services as well as desktop systems.
