The Platform Hardware Engineer will be a part of the Platform Development Group that designs and implements all the Platforms for Packeteer's products. This position will participate in the development of our next generation of high performance products as well as maintain the current generation. Responsibilities include system architecture design, component selection, printed circuit design, thermal design, and performance evaluation and optimization. Creating reliable, high-value solutions will be key to success. A background in the Networking industry is highly desirable. Qualified candidates will have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, and will have had at least 8 years experience specifying and designing hardware for Appliance or Embedded Systems.
