Senior Quality Engineer

Albin Engineering has an opening for a Senior Quality Engineer to work in a major Bay Area defense company. You will work a wide range of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and Quality skills to research and review FCS technical design development activities, test, and support documentation for mechanical, digital/analog integration of systems and subsystems.

 



You will have routine interaction with all levels of management and the customer. Develop quality systems and procedures to monitor design assurance activities. Perform Quality and Test and Evaluation Planning. Support concept designs, trade studies and procurement activities. Perform failure analysis and product validation activities. Provide design influence to the design teams and monitor design activities from

concepts to prototype implementation. Review and approve engineering designs, develop specification requirements and technical data.

 

Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) degreeBroad background in mechanical/electrical engineering and product assurance systems and processesDesign analysis, test, validation and integration working with mechanical and electro mechanical systems/subsystems and heavy structures Ability to perform audits, conduct failure and fatigue analysis and recommend corrective action, analyze data and utilize statistical tools to aide in quality evaluations and develop quality plans, systems and proceduresHave knowledge of design processes, documentation and validation requirements, applicable to government and commercial specifications and standards. Understand cost associated with quality design controls and product assurance validation. Must also be knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2000 quality systems and procedures. Must possess good problem solving and decision-making skills. Must be able to develop presentations and technical reports. Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and orally. Basic computer skills are required
