Senior Storage Engineer Architect

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

*Primary contact 24/7 for all system wide issues involving the
storage environment.
*Work with Engineering and Operational staff to allocate storage as
necessary.
*Document release and build process.
*Work with department Managers and general IT staff to analyze and
resolve problems associated with technical issues.
*Ensuring company policies and standards are adhered to.
*Work with vendors and business units to design, evaluate and
deploy new storage systems.
*Create and maintain all documentation.
*Report performance levels of establish Service Level Agreements (SLA?s) for all applications.
*Report storage utilization and consumption including historical
trending.

Qualifications:

Over 5 years exp. with enterprise SAN(Network Appliance) solutions in a large scale WAN
including but not limited to Hitachi, EMC, and Network Appliance .
5 years exp. with enterprise NAS solutions with strong emphasis on network Appliance.
5 years exp. managing, configuring and troubleshooting Brocade
fiber channel switches.
A Strong knowledge of heterogeneous environments including the
following operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux.
Strong knowledge of Back up and replication applications and
procedures (BCV, SRDF/A, Snapshot, Snapvault and Snapmirror).
Strong knowledge of Storage applications (ECC Console, Navisphere,
Data fabric Manager, ECC Storage Scope, and Workload Analyzer).
Proven knowledge and understanding of RAID and  storage redundancy 
implementations.
'Strong understanding of planning, design, implementation and
support of large web based applications.
Proven experience with the development and  implementation of process, procedures and result
metrics for the purpose of contiguous operational improvement and
SLA creation and adherence.
Proven experience with implementing tiered storage solutions including
information lifecycle management.
'Certifications in the following is a plus: NACA, NACP, NACE certifications a plus
