Senior System Administrator

Investacorp Inc, a privately held Broker-Dealer firm in South Florida, seeks to hire a Senior System Administrator to join our MIS department.  Position will be responsible for all Unix and Windows hardware, software, OS, application, e-mail and networking support.  This position will also help develop and implement the strategic plans for IT infrastructure growth.  A portion of the position will involve building disaster recovery site and writing and/or maintaining Unix/Linux shell and perl scripts.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar discipline (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum 4 years of Unix system administration/infrastructure support experience.

Strong skills and experience in Solaris 8/9 and Linux.

Knowledge of and experience with administering web-based applications under UNIX.  Experience with Java/J2EE, SQL a plus.

Programming/scripting skills in sh, tk/tcl/expect, Perl etc.

Experience with developing, operating, and maintaining various security systems including Kerberos, SSH, S/Key, TACACS+, and RADIUS.

Experience with DNS,BIND,DHCP including familiarity with the source code and demonstrate ability to fix, adapt, and extend as necessary.

Basic understanding of Windows XP/2000/2003 networking features, functionality, and administration.  Windows/UNIX integration experience a plus.

TCP/IP network administration.

Cisco router/switch/firewall administration experience.

Excellent written and oral communications skills with demonstrated commitment to producing high quality documentation.

Ability to work well with others across many organizations including development, sales marketing, finance, customer support, and field service staff.

Strong understanding of system and network security.

Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Willingness to provide off-hours on-call support and work off-hours as necessary.
