Senior Web Engineer

L-3 Communications Titan Group is looking for a strong Senior Web Engineer.

 

The Senior Web Engineer will provide support for the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) and the role will be located within operate within the Ft. Bragg, NC location.

 

Responsibilities to include:

 

*  Implementation of processes to capture information from the computers at the regional data processing centers for upload and download to a UNIX and NT based systems.

 

*  Assists the GCCS System Administrator (SA) with duties and often performs duties as the backup GCCS SA when absent. Closely coordinates system changes with functional users and documents and disseminates changes related to information system problems.

 

*  Coordinates with the DATA Administrator, Information System Security Officer and customers on procedures for maintaining security compliance, and processing of unclassified or sensitive information.

 

*  Advise employees on new system designs, changes, or revision including development of relational database system, objectives for collection of input, appropriate use of equipment and problem resolution.

 

*  Monitors, reviews, and processes performance and effectiveness of computer application systems, recommends and/or implements corrective action and/or enhancements. Coordinates the selection and use of (GCCS) for USASOC whenever system development is planned so data sharing and data transfer requirements are incorporated.

 

*  Provides technical evaluations with existing studies and proposed systems to determine effectiveness and minimize data redundancy to maximize effective use of data storage.

 

*  Provides long-range planning guidance and recommendations regarding use and development or GCCS techniques for establishing data items that are included in USASOC corporate databases.

 

*  Special emphasis is placed upon the synchronization of information as used in various application system(s).

 

*  Troubleshoot database problems from Global Status of Resources and Training System (GSORTS) and Joint Planning and Execution System (JOPES) client users.

 

Background and Experience:

 

*  Security Clearance: TOP SECRET ? REQUIRED!

*  Experience in GCCS database and desktop support a must.

*  BS in computer science or engineering.
