Software IT Architect

We are actively searching for and experienced Software IT Architect. The ideal candidate will work closely with executives to identify functional requirements, translate to architectural roadmaps, and lead the adoption. The successful candidate's sales skills will be used to convince the client to use IBM middleware to build their new product offerings. The ideal candidate's skills include broad technical knowledge of IBM distributed software. The ideal candidate must be able to apply a methodology to understand business and technical requirements and then translate that into a workable architecture and set of development initiatives. Leadership, communication, presentation skills, drive, and ability to work in a matrixed environment are a must. Major Field of Study: Computer science or Engineering. The successful candidate must apply knowledge of SOA and On Demand Software Technology. The ideal candidate must establish and maintain client "trusted advisor" relationships. The successful candidate must have experience in a Java environment and technical sales experience. The successful candidate may reside in the North Central or Western Regions of the US. This position will be mobile and the successful candidate will work remotely with minimal travel required (up to 25%). Our Sales people are measured on sales results so compensation includes both base pay & commission and is commensurate with experience.
